My son has blue eyes. This isn’t necessarily a big deal – lots and lots of babies are born with blue eyes only to have them change later. His eyes may well stay blue – my mom’s eyes are blue, my wife’s dad’s eyes are blue, this wouldn’t be a stretch.
What is funny is the female reaction to those eyes. Kim is SO excited about them. A dear Bolivian friend who sometimes helps out is even more excited. How excited? I get daily updates on the status of his blue eyes. Our dear friend reports after talking to other friends of hers that if they stay blue after a month they will likely remain blue. I try and feign interest but I must admit I do not get it. Is it because of all those paintings that show Jesus with blond hair and blue eyes? Or is it that women just love men with blue eyes?
