Christian music lovers can rejoice this month as new releases from TAYA, Maverick City, and Fernando Ortega bring new inspirational songs to enjoy.
TAYA, the voice behind the modern worship classic “Oceans (Where Feet May Fail”), released her latest single, “Come Into the Light,” following the release of her self-titled album and single “Gonna Be Good.”
“I wrote this song two years ago with Bryan Fowler and Micah Kuiper, and then it sat in my Dropbox for a year,” TAYA said. “Just before going on tour in April this year, I felt we should lead it, so that’s what we did. We sang it worldwide for six months – we haven’t stopped singing it yet.”
She added, “I pray that as you hear Jesus’ invitation it moves you to action, to walk in the light as He is in the light. Our merciful God sees
us and loves us anyway. He invites us to have a relationship with Him up close and personal. By the grace of God, as we walk with Him and surrender, He will lead us in a better way. May we heed His invitation, start running toward Him, and come into the Light.”
TAYA has been on tour this fall on the FOUND Collective tour featuring Lisa Harper, Sadie Robertson Huff, and Oneka McClellan. Check her website to listen to the song and discover all the updated tour stops.

Dove Award-winning singer, pianist, songwriter, arranger, and storyteller Fernando Ortega has released his first new single in nearly three years, “Jesus, Bread Of Life.” Available now at digital and streaming outlets internationally via https://linktr.ee/fernandoortegamusic, the song is the lead single from Ortega’s “For All The Saints” EP set to release next month and featuring songs meant for the church and congregational worship.
Co-produced by Ortega and Matthew Tobias and engineered and mixed by Russ Long (Newsboys, Tenth Avenue North, Keith & Kristyn Getty), “Jesus, Bread Of Life” was written during a The Porter’s Gate writer’s retreat held a few years ago at the Art House in Nashville.
“This is not the first communion song I’ve recorded, but what I like about it is how it is an invitation to the downtrodden, people in need – that theme of the gospel inviting people who are marginalized to the table,” Ortega said, quoting the lyrics in verse two of the song, “Sister take what you need, anything I own. There is no famine here, the love of Jesus multiplies. Brother what’s mine is yours, you are not alone. There is no shortage here, the love Jesus satisfies.”
“Jesus, Bread of Life” Chorus:
O Lord, come fill us with your love
At this table made for us
There is more than enough
Jesus, Bread of Life
The single also features harmonies by Fernando’s 15-year-old daughter, Ruby, who has sung at New York’s Carnegie Hall and is slated to sing at Disneyland Park in the near future with her state championship-winning high school choir.
“She has a fantastic sense of pitch and started making up harmonies to the song as she heard it on the way to and back again from school,” remembers Ortega. “This song is one of our favorites on the upcoming EP.”
