This is post 111 in my series on the Law of Attraction in Action. You CAN use your power to attract all that you need. I do it every day! Read all the posts in my Law of Attraction in Action Series to see how.

We all experience difficult situations at times. That’s part of life. If you succumb to them–think “woe is me” or complain a lot about your bad luck, or think that your life is going badly, or see yourself as a failure for not succeeding on the first try, you’ll attract more negative stuff. But if you roll with what goes wrong and just see it as part of the path to what you want, you can begin to attract better circumstances.

Problems are part of your road to success, unless you sabotage yourself with negative thoughts.

Difficulties can bring positive benefits if you allow them to. Having to overcome adversity to get to where you want to go makes reaching your goals sweeter. If everything just happened easily and you got everything your way, you probably wouldn’t appreciate anything. When I have to work super hard and get past obstacles, I revel in the outcome. Problems strengthen your ability to do your job or speak your mind or get further down whatever path you’re on. They also teach you valuable lessons.

You’ve heard it before. Thomas Edison brilliantly said of his failures, “I have not failed, I’ve just found 10,000 ways that won’t work.”

If you fail to look for what went wrong and how to do something better next time, the same difficulties will repeat themselves in the future. Instead, when you encounter a problem, try to discover why it happened, how you can handle it better in the future and how you can use those lessons for other things. Sometimes the lesson might be that you need more preparation or it would help to learn another skill. Or the person might not be the right one for your goal.

Overcoming difficulties makes you stronger if you don’t let them overcome you and your thoughts.

When the Universe sees you hard at work to resolve problems or get past obstacles, the Law of Attraction supports your efforts. When the Universe sees you letting problems or obstacles stop you and put you into a negative frame of mind, the Law of Attraction supports that too!

Seeing problems as opportunities to build your confidence and help you be better at whatever it is you’re going after attracts spiritual support for reaching your goal.

I don’t give up anymore since I know that every time I overcome a problem or obstacle, I send a stronger message about my intentions that nothing will stop me. I hear from many musicians since I write popular music business books for Billboard. The most common message is that trying to build a money-making music career is very hard. Yes, it is VERY hard! That’s why so many talented musicians cant get their careers off the ground. Emails I get tell me all the bad stuff going on or how many avenues they’ve tried that didn’t work out.

They don’t like my response, which is, you have 2 choices–keep trying or quit.

There are no magic answers for when you keep coming up against walls you can’t climb. Some people build ladders, or find a different route or get stronger in their attempts to keep going. Very little worth getting is easy. As I said, if it was, you wouldn’t see it as having much worth, since everyone would have it and you’d just get it without working. Quitting is the sure direction. Once you do that it’s over and you can spend your life looking back with regret.

Marcel Proust  said, “The real voyage of discovery is not in seeking new lands but in seeing with new eyes.”

You can get stuck in a bad place by focusing on difficulties and the Law of Attractions will help keep you there if you don’t change your thoughts, and let go of your anger, frustration, and feeling of hardship in not getting what you want. Focusing on hardship magnifies it. The more we focus on how hard it is, how we’ve stumbled, how scared we are of not being where we want to be, the vibration keeps us from reaching goals and learning how much we can get by riding the waves of difficulty with a positive outlook.

Often it’s not the one who’s best for a job or a music career or some other goal that wins. It’s the one who persistently stays in the game who wins.

The next time you encounter a roadblock to your goals, give thanks for the opportunity to grow by getting to the other side of it, even if it’s hard or unpleasant. Welcome a chance to learn from your mistakes. Find a positive perspective instead of a negative lament. That’s the best way to get the Law of Attraction to support you in getting what you want and let difficulties work in your favor.
