Today is Day 17 of my 31 Days of Self-Love posts to celebrate Self-Love Month with suggestions for jumpstarting your own self-love.

This is post 171 in my series on the Law of Attraction in Action. You CAN use your power to attract all that you need. I do it every day! Read all the posts in my Law of Attraction in Action Series to see how.

I hear many people complain about their day jobs. Some find them boring; others find the work tedious. Most are living without passion, which doesn’t create joy and satisfaction. That keeps your vibration low, which also lowers your ability to manifest goodies. As I’ve said in other posts, the most important thing you can do for yourself to help the Law of Attraction bring you the positive things you want is to have as much joy in your life as possible.

Feeling good sets a good overall vibe. It says you want to be happy and attracts more things that create joy. Passion is a good catalyst for creating more. The more passion you have in your life, the more joy you feel and the more good that comes to you. Passion attracts more passion. Boredom attracts more boredom. Unhappiness attracts more unhappiness. It’s that simple.

This doesn’t mean that every aspect of your life has to have passion. But, the more you have, the happier you’ll be, even in situations that aren’t your cup of tea. The key is keeping dissatisfaction and other negatives out of your thoughts. You don’t have to love your job or your living situation or responsibilities to family that take more time than you’d like. But complaining about them or allowing yourself to feel related negative emotions makes the experience so much worse and lowers or kills your positive vibration.

It’s better to focus on something positive about what doesn’t light your fire. For example, one of my clients has a job he has no passion for. To him it’s a source of income. But he focuses on the fact he makes an excellent salary, works with nice people, doesn’t have to get dressed up for work and gets out at 4:15. They rarely expect more from him. All of this allows him time and money to do activities he is passionate about. And his good vacation benefits allows him to take long trips, which he loves. So he stays positive about the not so passionate part of his life by focusing on the good it gives him and pursues his passions after work.

Any negativity gets in the way of attracting positive stuff. When you allow yourself to make the aspects of your life that you don’t like your dominant mindset, you’ll continue to attract what you don’t like. You can break the cycle by doing one thing at a time that you enjoy. When I’m feeling down, I try to go for a run in the park. If the weather is too cold or rainy, I’ll bundle up or get an umbrella and do a power walk. It always invigorates me. I feel passionate about keeping my body fit because I love me.

Following your passion always says, “I love me!” Since I got far from DoorMatville and my faith got very strong, I never do anything I’m not passionate about. I’ve turned down work, even when I was short on cash, knowing that I must stick to my passions and the Law of Attraction always supports my intention by bringing me projects I love. Because of this, my joy with life filters into everything, even things I’d rather not do, like writing book proposals or going to the dentist. But I always find ways to enjoy myself during less than pleasant times.

Focus on your blessings. Write down all the things you’d love to do and pick one to plan for. When you trust enough that you’ll manifest what you need to make your passion a reality, it becomes one. This former unhappy DoorMat who moved through life on autopilot, doing for others while pushing her own passions aside is living proof that it’s never too late to find ways to follow your passions and make life beautiful every day! Passion and self-love feed each other. The more you love yourself, the more you’ll seek your passions. The more passion you have, the more self-love is fueled. Living by your passions is a very loving place to be.
