Question: My teenage son studies hard, but his grades remain below average. I would like to be able to offer him some trick about studying and taking exams that would help him to achieve good results.

Answer: All of us, including your son, do what interests us most in every given moment, so if you can find a way to help your son awaken interest in his studies, then you will be well on your way. Otherwise, the best you can do in cases like this is to encourage your son to see the higher, personal benefit in working to learn his lessons. It’s also important that you, as the parent, be a good example yourself of the work ethic you hope to instill in your son. Apart from this, there are no “tricks” to achieving real excellence in whatever world one seeks it.
