The best we can do for others, to help make their lives brighter, begins with the work of enlightening ourselves. In this manner — from our first tentative steps toward a life in the Light, all the way to the summit of Higher Self-Understanding — we agree to the task of never again allowing ourselves to darken the world of another.

The love of the Living Light is its own reward, for whoever willingly embraces its Spirit holds in his or her heart the inexhaustible supply and Source of Life itself.

When we realize that the world around us is powerless to grant our wish for a sense of real permanency, our attention naturally turns toward that uncharted country within us where, as our eyes accustom themselves to the light therein, we catch a glimpse of our Eternal Home.
