QUESTION

If all the people of our nation went out in the streets in a march for peace and then sat in silence, do you think it would have greater influence than the political wrangling and vitriol that gets little or no results, and seems to promote further violence?

ANSWER

In order for real change to take place on this beleaguered planet of ours, that change must take place in the consciousness of us… where the conflict lives and continues on as long as it remains unreconciled by the light of awareness. This means that even the finest of exterior activities do little to alter the patterns of violence… serving only to temporarily mollify them, at best. How can we ever truly embrace another, of any ilk, until we awaken to see that inwardly we are one and the same? As we awaken to this truth about ourselves, the conflict with others “dies” without harming anyone.
