Question: I understand the nature of fear and how it feeds on itself, but I would like to know more about the right words and actions to be used when dealing with my child’s fear of the dark. I know she will sense my essence, therefore I would like guidance in this area.

Answer: Children naturally are nourished, for either the good or bad of that inner food, by the energetic states they pick up from us. One of the problems you’re facing here (that we all face) is that you don’t want to make a mistake. Consider this: How else do we learn what is true other than by being willing to enter into uncertain conditions and therein finding out for ourselves what works and what doesn’t. This action, for instance, even the most feeble attempt to explain to your child the nothingness of fear, you will learn from and so will she. Go to work.
