We’re all familiar with the Christmas stories in the biblical Gospels. We know well Matthew’s story that focuses on Joseph and the visit of the Magi. And we love Luke’s narrative with Mary, a manger, and the shepherds. But there is another Christmas story in the Gospels, one that gets much less attention. Yet this neglected Christmas story reveals the core of Christmas truth in a stunning way.
