Ninety-eight-year-old Keiko Fukuda of San Francisco recently received her 10th degree black belt. This means she’s been promoted to judo’s highest level…an honor only three other people have ever attained: all men, all living in Japan.

I remember when I was newly married and my 60-year-old parents announced they were moving to China to become English teachers! They spent a decade across the ocean doing something many 30-year-old people would be afraid to do. Mom claims her sixties were the best years of her life.

And here I sit….two weeks in to my 40th year….contemplating how *not* to act my age ;). So far I’ve started small: I’ve been wearing my hair in piggy tails and dancing in the rain.

So, tell me….are you acting your age? And why not?
