With fringe websites constantly proclaiming that President Obama is either a Communist or a Muslim or both, a Russian government-supported website, Russia Today, says that Obama is a spawn of the CIA, which generally is considered an ultra-conservative agency.
According to the Washington, D.C.-based media watchdog group Accuracy in Media, Russia Today, which AIM considers a Russian government propaganda arm, “has been making the rounds for a year claiming that Barack Obama or his family members have had CIA connections. Now, the American Thinker, a premier conservative news site, has taken the bait.”
AIM goes on to say the author of the piece has produced a number of scoops “that don’t pass the smell test.” These include that Obama was also a member of a gay bath house and that President Bush was a member of a “Christian blood cult” and attends “Goebbels-like speech fests.”
