A Saudi official says the results of laboratory tests on the remains of suicide bombers who blew themselves up in terrorist attacks there show they had enough heroin in them to keep them from feeling pain when they blew themselves up.
Saudi Arabia’s al-Watan newspaper quoted the Saudi security advisor, Dr. Yusuf Rumaih, saying that the Kingdom sent the samples of remains of terrorists to three foreign countries, where the results showed the presence of heroin in their bodies.
He did not specify which suicide bombers were tested or the incidents in which they blew themselves up.
“This indicated that the drug led them to commit suicide with indifference as they were promised paradise with virgins,” reported Abdul Nabi Shaheen on the al-Nisr website GulfNews.
