Ben Carson, a member of President Trump’s cabinet, has been diagnosed with COVID-19 but isn’t letting the virus stop Him from trusting in the power of God!

Carson, who also serves as the secretary for Housing and Urban Development, “is in good spirits” and “feels fortunate to have access to effective therapeutics which aid and markedly speed his recovery,” Coalter Baker, his chief of staff, told the Associated Press.

Carson is not the only member of Trump’s cabinet who recently tested positive for COVID-19. Trump’s chief of staff, Mark Meadows, also tested positive for the virus. Both men are over 60 years old.

The two were attending an indoor White House Election Night party that purportedly had around 250 guests, Christian Headlines reports.

Carson’s diagnoses comes as the country’s daily coronavirus cases hit a record of 128,000. This is the fourth day in a row the nation has beaten its record. In addition, hospitalizations are on the rise, too.

On a positive note, Pfizer delivered hope to the nation when it announced its current vaccine in the Phase 3 trial, which is in its final phase.

This vaccination has proven to be more than 90 percent effective in preventing COVID-19. This percentage is much higher than what investors and health experts expected, Christian Headlines.

“Today is a great day for science and humanity. The first set of results from our Phase 3 COVID-19 vaccine trial provides the initial evidence of our vaccine’s ability to prevent COVID-19,” said Pfizer CEO Albert Bourla.

“We are reaching this critical milestone in our vaccine development program at a time when the world needs it most with infection rates setting new records, hospitals nearing over-capacity, and economies struggling to reopen. With Today’s news, we are a significant step closer to providing people around the world with a much-needed breakthrough to help bring an end to this global health crisis,” he said.

Dr. Anthony Fauci said a vaccine that was 50 percent to 60 percent effective would be acceptable, CNBC reported.

The pediatric neurosurgeon told CBN News that God placed him in his position in the White House for a reason.

One year into the job, Carson said God revealed why He placed him there by taking him to the Bible.

“There’s a verse in the Bible, Proverbs 29:18, that says, ‘without a vision the people perish,’ and I look around and see a lot of people who just are not thriving,” Carson said.

“As a pediatric neurosurgeon, I spent a lot of time trying to give kids a second chance – operating for hours and hours, sometimes all night,” he told CBN.

“But then being faced with having to send them back into a horrible environment with mold and lead and vermin – all kind of stuff – it was a horrible feeling for me – now I have a chance to actually do something about that environment,” he added.
