A shocking report has revealed that employees at the Central Intelligence Agency (CIA) mocked the death of Christian televangelist Pat Robertson, ridiculed Christians, and expressed hostility toward conservatives in leaked internal chat logs.
The logs leaked to journalist Christopher Rufo contained troubling remarks from CIA employees regarding Robertson’s passing on June 8, 2023. In an undated chat, one employee wrote, “It was so smoky yesterday because the gates of hell opened up to let him in.” Another participant responded with a sarcastic acrostic, spelling out “PRIDE” using the phrase “Pat Robertson Is Dead Everyone.”
“Only the good die young,” another employee quipped, with a colleague cynically replying, “Explains why my grandmother is still alive.” One individual added, “I was always taught never to say anything about the dead unless it’s good. He’s dead. Good.”
Rufo said the CIA chat about Robertson was just one example of a larger pattern of hostility within U.S. intelligence agencies. The journalist has published internal correspondences from National Security Agency (NSA) servers that expose a culture of anti-Christian sentiment, political bias, and explicit discussions that violate agency policies.
“This is a recurring theme in the NSA chatrooms: hatred against Christians, conservatives, Italians, and heterosexuals,” Rufo noted. “One intelligence officer even casts aspersions on his own grandmother.”

The leaked messages have drawn sharp criticism from faith leaders and political figures alike. Elon Musk, CEO of SpaceX, reacted to the revelation, calling for urgent reforms in the intelligence community. “MAJOR housecleaning is needed,” Musk posted on social media.
The leaks have also led to swift action from government officials. Tulsi Gabbard, the newly appointed Director of National Intelligence, was also mocked in the leaked chats, where agency employees referred to her as a “Russian agent” and “anti-queer.” On Tuesday, Gabbard announced on Fox News that more than 100 intelligence employees would be terminated and have their security clearances revoked as a result of the leaked conversations.
For many in the Christian community, the report raises serious concerns about religious discrimination and deep-seated bias within the highest levels of the U.S. intelligence apparatus. Critics argue that government institutions should not be harboring hostility toward people of faith—especially at a time when Christian values are increasingly under attack in society.
As the scandal unfolds, many are calling for increased oversight, accountability, and a renewed commitment to religious liberty within the intelligence agencies entrusted with protecting the American people.
