We are once again in the time of the Full Moon. Of course, you don’t have to know anything about astrology to appreciate a Full Moon. It has a reputation as being the time for both great romance and great mischief. The one thing those two things have in common is amplified emotion, and the Full Moon will certainly do that. Although the exact aspect only lasts for a short time, it is traditional – and by traditional I mean” in horror movies” – to refer to “the three nights of the Full Moon.” And although I don’t know of any distinct astrological principle that would explain that, I tend to believe it. So this should apply for the next day or so, even though the Full Moon isn’t exact until Sunday at 2:09 PM Eastern/11:09 AM Pacific.
This Moon is also what’s called a “Supermoon”… a Full Moon where the Moon is at one of its closest points in its orbit to us, and thus appears particularly large in the night sky. I recommend you get out and look at it tonight. It’s quite lovely.
There isn’t usually any reason to panic over a Full Moon. At most, it represents a temporary emotional amplification which can cause other, more long-standing trends to finally snap. For example: if you have any important placements around 17° Scorpio, or aspecting that point. That’s where Saturn is now, and the Sun and Moon will be squaring that point and amplifying the effects of the Saturn-Uranus quincunx that’s happening now.
But should we be particularly concern that it’s a “Supermoon”? I suspect not, unless it is doing something very specific to your chart. For example: having been born between 1962 and 1967, this point is very close to my natal Neptune. Neptune is the ruler of my Midheaven – my career goals and ambitions. Naturally, since Saturn is on my natal Neptune now, this has been a fairly stressful time for me that way. Productive, certainly, but stressful nonetheless.
Furthermore: the Sun and Moon for this Full Moon fall in my Second and Eighth Houses, which rule “my money” and “other peoples money.”
So even though overall things are going alright for me that way, I find myself having difficulty collecting a particular payment for my beginners astrology class, which is just starting now. It’s just one payment, not a gigantic one, so there’s no need to get angry, right?
No need to get angry, even though the payment was originally sent to “New York, Wyoming.”
See? No big deal. It can be corrected.
No need to get angry, even though after that was fixed there was still a screw-up on my name, such that I appeared to have three first names and no last name, rather than my full name — thus I still couldn’t collect.
You’ve just got to stay calm at a time like this.
This particular system I am attempting to collect the payment from has been down with computer issues for several hours. But that’s… okay.
You see, everything is good. The Universe is ultimately kind and wise, and is not out to get you in any way shape or form. You just to got to “keep calm and carry on,” as the popular Internet meme reminds us.
Even though the heat and the humidity here are killing me today, and the system came back up while I was away, but then I went back and it went down again, and I forgot my ID, and the people there are idiots, and I’m sweating like a pig and the air conditioning is off in the place I have to keep going back to and…

Okay. Like I said folks, just stay calm.
