If you have ever shared a domestic arrangement with a Taurus, you’ve probably reaped some of the benefits. Taurus usually keeps a cozy environment and makes sure the fridge is never empty. But if your arrangement included pooling your financial resources, you know that sometimes a Taurus can get a little too trigger-happy with their expenses. How does one safely and effectively address this issue? Here’s a handy visual guide. Good luck!
1. APPROACH THE TAURUS CALMLY, BUT BE PREPARED FOR THE WORST. Lay out your case for controlling your shared budget wisely and in advance. Prepare to state your views calmly and gently. Also, some kind of blunt object may be required for self-defense.
2. WELL SO MUCH FOR THAT! You already knew that this wasn’t going to go over very well. Try to get some safe distance from the subject, literally and figuratively, before starting again.
3. HELP YOUR TAURUS SEE MONEY AND MATERIAL ITEMS FROM A NEW PERSPECTIVE. But no, even if your Taurus claims to be a Buddhist (or have Buddhist leanings), you’re not going to talk them out of their attitude about money and possessions. Taurus may have a Buddha on its desk, but that Buddha is a hand-crafted import, and wasn’t cheap.
4. NOW YOU’VE GOT THEIR ATTENTION! You’re talking about money and buying things, and framed it in as non-stingy a way as possible. That will help your Taurus stay calmly focused on the subject at hand.
5. BUT OF COURSE THAT WASN’T GOING TO LAST TOO LONG. When you get right down to it, if overspending is an issue, the most obvious way to address that issue is by spending less. No amount of persuasion and/or flattery will conceal that fact from Taurus for long. Just make your case as best you can, hang on, and hope for the best.
6. GET A SECOND JOB. Any new budgetary initiatives that involve less spending or a cheaper quality of life are only likely to last approximately eight seconds at best. Go get a second job, and contemplate maintaining separate bank accounts.
