(This is part of the Mars in Aries series I will be running throughout the rest of this year. Mars is going to spend a ridiculously long time in Aries, and the more prepared you are for it, the better. CLICK HERE for the introduction to this series.)

THIS WEEK: The long slow grind of Mars retrograde is only just getting started, with Mars beginning the week at 28° Aries and rolling back only a little over half a degree during the entire week. The worst of that grinding will be against saturn, which is at 25 and 1/2 degrees Capricorn and still retrograde itself. Let’s not forget Pluto at 22 and 1/2°either. This could make for some painfully explosive times.

(Wondering what the next few months hold in store for you? Write me with your date, time, and place of birth — and I’ll send you a free sneak preview!)

Jupiter has ended its retrograde, and is coming up to join Saturn and Pluto. I know, Jupiter likes to make things all cheerful and optimistic. This time around though, to be honest? I’m not sure if it’s going to be all that much help, or if it’s just going to land a megaphone to all the other screaming going on.

One sign for optimism? Later in the week, transiting sun in Virgo will be trine Saturn and Pluto. This may give us all the opportunity to make something positive out of our collective and individual whirlwinds. Take advantage of this energy while it lasts.

WHO WINS/WHO LOSES?: Any major planets or placements in your birth chart between 25 and 29 degrees of the Fire Signs (Aries, Leo, or Sagittarius) (or the first three degrees of the next Sign) will feel a distinct boost. Your Air Sign placements (Gemini, Libra, or Aquarius) (or the first three degrees of the next Sign) will receive a less obvious (but still real) shot of energy — although for Libra, it may not be that comfortable. Any major birth chart placements in or around those degrees of Cancer or Capricorn (or the first three degrees of the next Sign)? They will be feeling some agitation.

MOON ASPECTS: Later in the day Wednesday (Eastern time) and following on into the next morning, Moon in Libra adds a pleasant touch of emotional stability to Saturn and Pluto. In fact, early Thursday is the New Moon at 25 degrees Virgo. That make it an outstanding time to re-assess the mess and dedicate yourself to finding ways to fix it. Where are you helping things, where are you doing more harm than good, and can you make more of an effort to tell the difference?

WHY THIS WEEK IS IMPORTANT: Mars returns to these degrees in the first week of January 2021. On the one hand, this will represent the end of the cosmic spin cycle so many of us find ourselves in. On the other hand, it’s a reminder that this crap still has over three months to go yet, and that New Year’s Day 2021 won’t automatically be the end of that bumpy 2020 road we’ve all been on, like it or not.
