It seems like whenever I talk about Saturn and Pluto in Capricorn, it’s always within the context of something terrible going on. Admittedly, since the conjunction between the two planets was exact earlier this year, the world has been kind of a wreck. And yet it’s not as if on any given day everyone on the planet is having the same bad transit. In fact there are some benefits to be had from Saturn and Pluto’s current positions, especially if you were born in the mid to late 60s.

Let me give you a specific if unusual example: the loss of the Explorer 2 lunar probe, which both launched and crashed in September 1966.
(“How can this story possibly end well?” you may be asking. Don’t worry, I’ll get to that.)
Explorer 2 was the second of a series of American space probes intended to land on the Moon and collect information in advance of a manned landing. I admit that I’m a huge nerd about space exploration history, but even I had to look up Explorer 2. That’s because three days after the launch, instead of performing a soft landing as planned, it crashed.
End of story, right? Well, not so fast…
Earlier this year, NASA detected an asteroid whose orbit was about to intersect Earth’s . This means that, should all the calculations prove to be correct, Earth will have a second Moon (in a sense) between October this year and May 2021. It’s certainly not much of a Moon though, so don’t get excited.
That, by the way, is exactly the size of the upper stage of a Centaur rocket, the kind NASA used to launch Surveyor 2 to the Moon. That’s right. the completely forgotten booster rocket of a failed space mission from the 1960s is now suddenly coming to world prominence. Explorer 2 is, as a result, maybe more significant than if the mission who had gone as planned in the first place.

So how is this an example of Saturn and Pluto and Capricorn being good news for some of us? That would be because most people born in the mid to late 60s have Uranus and Pluto conjunct in Virgo. If that’s the case, you are currently experiencing the benefits of your Pluto Trine, Pluto trine your natal Uranus, Saturn trine natal Uranus and Pluto… and now with a side order of a trine from transiting Jupiter as well.
So remember, Breakfast Club generation… No matter how crazy things are going in your world, and no matter how poorly your plans have panned out this year? Something great is happening. This is your time to shine.
