Most of 2020 has been like drinking a smoothie made of warm garbage and Biblical plagues. In times like these I think that it’s important that we try hard to see the good in things, and take advantage of the good times when they arrive.

Venus has entered Virgo and will be there until October 28th. Venus in Virgo gets kind of a bad rap because in theory it’s a “debilitated placement.” But the truth is that you can get good results out of any planetary placement, provided that it’s getting decent aspects. And this month, Venus is getting a boost from all the troublemakers that have been making things difficult for the rest of the Zodiac, and for the world in general.

An excellent time to try something new and exciting with a loved one, or try a new baking project.
Oct 18, 2020: Venus opposite Neptune
Okay, it’s 2020 and things had to get a little strange, didn’t they? This aspect has a glorious, wonderful fuzziness to it, but be careful that your love is pointed at the right person or in the right direction. Also, be careful with unnecessary expenditures.
Oct 19, 2020: Venus quincunx Mars
Whoa. Venus! I know this aspect has you feeling unusually aroused, but you really should be more carerful what web sites you’re on. Sure he looks good, but… those kind of look like stock photos of a bodybuilder. And if he really lives in England, why are there always palm trees in the background?
Oct 19, 2020: Venus trine Jupiter
Venus, I know you’re feeling really generous, but you should be more careful. Wait, you’re engaged to that guy you were talking to and he hasn’t even managed to make his FaceTime work so you can tell it’s him? And you’re sending him money for a plane ticket?
Oct 21, 2020: Venus trine Pluto
Venus: I’m beginning to think that your depth of feeling for this guy is just so strong that you aren’t thinking clearly. And — was that him you were talking to earlier? That sounded like a Nigerian accent. I thought you said he was English?
Oct 24, 2020: Venus trine Saturn
Oh I see… you want to marry this guy you haven’t actually seen before because you want a sense of security? Even though you’ve never actually seen him? And what — you had to send more money to upgrade this guy to First Class because he’s allergic to the snacks they serve in the cheap seats?
Oct 27: Venus enters Libra
Well… now you’re broke and heartbroken. Don’t worry though: you’re looking really pretty today…
