Although no planet in astrology is entirely good or entirely bad all the time, Jupiter has a solid reputation for being arguably the best of the “good guys.” Who doesn’t love sitting around at a party discussing philosophy with their Sagittarius friends after all? And we could use all the levity and humor we can get, given the current state of the world.

Levity and humor fall under the general purview of Jupiter. Jupiter will be spending most of the year in Aquarius, and that’s not a bad place for it. It’s certainly a more comfortable fit than Capricorn was, at least. Jupiter remains in Aquarius until May 13th, at which time it dives into the early degrees of Pisces. It then turns retrograde and returns to Aquarius on July 28th, where it will remain until the last three days of the year.
Jupiter is the general ruler of one’s worldview — your philosophical outlook on life, your understanding of what rules life can (or should) follow, and the acknowledgement that something out there is bigger than yourself. These are all qualities that Aquarius can get on board with, much more than Capricorn could.
Jupiter will be facing some distinct challenges along the way though. For most of January and the first part of February, Jupiter square Uranus will be in effect. There may very well be startling turns in life, both for individuals and for the world at large. This aspect could end up fuelling some serious anarchy, either within yourself or in your world… especially in the middle of January when Mars joins Uranus in Taurus and throws some fuel onto the fire.
In late March and early April, Mars in Gemini will combine with Jupiter to form a much more positive aspect, and at that time there should be opportunities for us to get our lives right with what we think they should be… or hopefully we will be able to laugh off some demons that deserve it. And in December, Mars in Scorpio square Jupiter could make a risky situation even more perilous.
For the most part, Jupiter’s time in Pisces in 2021 will be pretty uneventful. Hey, even Jupiter deserves a rest now and again, right? Just keep in mind that an unaspected planet can behave like an unsupervised child. Left to his or her own devices, the child might create something wonderful. Or, might start a fire in the kitchen. Maybe both. Kids, am I right?
