Billionaire philanthropists Bill and Melinda Gates recently announced that they are getting divorced after 27 years of marriage. This leapt out at me immediately because, as an astrologer, 27 years represents a single Saturn cycle. Whenever things fall apart, Saturn is usually one of the main culprits. And sure enough, we have more proof of it here.

Bill Gates was born October 28, 1955, at 10 PM, in Seattle Washington. I won’t be looking at Melinda’s chart because we don’t have a time of birth for her, but the Saturn story in Bill’s chart is pretty telling. He has Cancer rising, which means that the Seventh House of his birth chart is Capricorn, which is ruled by Saturn. Bill has a Venus-Saturn conjunction at 20 to 21 degrees Scorpio, and that placement is getting the square from transiting Jupiter in Aquarius now. What’s more, Saturn has not yet really begun the square to that point. So, even though things appear to be pretty amicable now, don’t be too surprised if that were to change somewhat starting in or around February next year, when Saturn makes that exact square, and again in the fall of 2022.

Bill and Melinda were married on January 1, 1994, time unknown, in Lanai, Hawaii. That wedding chart features no less than six planets in Capricorn, so Saturn will obviously be important for the birth chart of the marriage as well. And sure enough, Bill and Melinda were married with Saturn at 27 degrees Aquarius, right where Jupiter is now. This is also another vote for all the paperwork not being wrapped up until near the end of 2022.

However, dear friends, don’t worry. The divorce seems to be amicable and both parties say that they will continue to work together on reducing global poverty and increasing global healthcare. Also, despite the divorce, Bill and Melinda Will continue to live together comfortably, and rent-free, in the heads of conspiracy theorist everywhere. I wish them luck.
