What it rules in your life: The daily details of your life, whether it’s how you organize your desk at work or where you put your socks. Health and well-being. Housepets and small animals. Technically, animals the size of a goat or smaller. Animals larger than a goat are the domain of the 12th House (why “goats” are the cutoff is beyond me). Being of service, or (if you have servants) your servants
The Sixth House is an interesting one, because (frankly) it rules a lot of things that are easy to ignore until they go wrong. Believe it or not, I don’t get a whole lot of housepet-centered readings… but health? Yeah. Like the song says: you don’t know what you got ’til it’s gone.

What it rules in an organization or mundane chart: the employees as a whole, and their health and safety.
How the placement of the ruler affects it:
Ruler of the Sixth House in the First: How others perceive you will often depend on how much attention you pay to how you present yourself. You likely interact well with your co-workers and/or animals.
Ruler of the Sixth House in the Second House: You would likely be good at making money off of health care, personal services, or animals.
Ruler of the Sixth in the Third House: You are probably communicating facts to others, whether as part of a corporate system or social media. You may be bonded to your siblings through health matters.
Ruler of the Sixth in the Fourth House: You would likely do well working from home. You will be the happiest living with at least one pet.
Ruler of the Sixth in the Fifth House: Your state of mind and overall levels of happiness may be affecting your health and routine more than you realize. You do well working in a creative, playful, or loosely structured environment.
Ruler of the Sixth in the Sixth House: You thrive in a well-structured environment, but be careful not to get too bogged down in routine. Your health will be of great importance to you. You might do well in a career involving health or personal care.
Ruler of the Sixth in the Seventh: There is a good chance you will end up in a business partnership, or even date/marry a co-worker. You have a good sense of how a fair division of labor can make a relationship work better.
Ruler of the Sixth in the Eighth: You seek depth in your everyday activities and personal interactions. You easily form strong emotional connections with others — for better or worse.
Ruler of the Sixth in the Ninth: You would probably do well working in the fields of higher education, the law, or with export/import and/people from different cultures than yours. You function best when working with others who share your philosophical outlook on life.
Ruler of the Sixth in the Tenth: You can thrive in a highly organized work environment, and may rapidly fall apart if that isn’t in place. Healthcare or work with animals may be a good career path for you. Often your progress at work is slow but steady.
Ruler of the Sixth in the Eleventh: You thrive in an environment that enables you to make a variety of personal connections. Odds are good you would function well organizing things like social events or trade conventions.
Ruler of the Sixth in the Twelfth: Your health may be heavily influenced by your state of mind. You may find that you have a hard time maintaining routines and schedules. When it comes to your health and well-being, pay attention to your intuition.
Things the House rules you might not have expected: Finding work through your friends, lost or missing persons, your aunts and uncles on your Mom’s side.
