To start with: I’m not going to be going off about “vaccine disinformation” or “cancel culture” or whatever aspect of this recent news story you prefer yelling about. There are other places on the Internet for that. Seemingly, everywhere else on the Internet has that covered for you.

As you’ve probably heard by now, the World’s Biggest Podcaster, Joe Rogan, has caused a stir because of the (mis)information and opinions he presents on his show The Joe Rogan Experience about covid-19 and vaccines. This has resulted in Neil Young, Joni Mitchell, Graham Nash, India Arie, and others asking to have their music be taken down from Spotify, (the music service that is the exclusive host to Joe Rogan’s podcast) in protest.

(No matter what transits are happening, how they play out in your life depends on your individual birth chart. Write me with your date, time, and place of birth — and I’ll send you a copy and a free sneak preview!)

Joe was born August 11 1967 at 12:05 AM, in Newark New Jersey. This gives him a Midheaven (career ruler) at 3 degrees Aquarius, and a close Sun-Jupiter conjunction at 16-17 degrees Leo. That last New Moon was in his 10th House,  it was conjunct Saturn, and it was closely opposite his Sun and Jupiter. This alone indicates about a month of potential general unhappiness, mostly related to his work.

Although there aren’t any “career killer” transits here (and let’s be honest: with his popularity and the money he makes from Spotify it would take a pretty big bomb to kill his career), the transits tell an interesting story anyway.

That New Moon plus the lingering effects of Saturn square Uranus (cut that out, you two!) do tell an interesting story, though. It’s affecting his Mars at 11 degrees Scorpio. That’s the traditional ruler of his Seventh House. We most often think of the Seventh as being about “marriage,” but it also rules “committed partnerships” in general — like when you have an exclusive business arrangement with Spotify. Also, Mars is the ruler of his Twelfth House, which rules things like “unforeseen upsets.” But again, no career-killing asteroids (astrologically or figuratively) appear to be hitting Joe anytime soon.

Joe appears to have backpedaled at least a little from his stance on vaccines. Or at least in a recent statement, he said he would “maybe try harder to get people with differing opinions”… which is something, I guess, maybe?

So everything is just fine with Joe Rogan and Spotify, right? Maybe not, at least for Spotify. The stock value of that company has taken a tumble lately. And as with every other publically-traded company, Spotify’s stock has a birth chart that is subject to transits. And, well…

Do you own any stock in Spotify? Pull up a chart for April 3 2018 at 9:30 AM in Manhattan, New York, and check out those transits. Decide whether or not maybe it’s a good time to sell your Spotify stock. Next time, I’ll give you my considered opinion on the matter…
