Hey all, it’s your resident eco-friendly Lesbro here. Had to post this today because it is AWESOME:

How are everyone’s preparations for July’s Low-Impact Consumption Month going? We are challenging you not to accept a single plastic bag from a store for the entire month, and let people know why you are acting this strangely. If you want to not use a paper cup for the whole month, you could do that too. Anyone wanna investigate the city’s Farmer’s Markets with me?
We have not one but two meditating environmental experts coming to guest lecture at the I.D. Project this summer, Jayne Poynter (who was on the Biosphere 2 design team, and one of the eight-person crew to live inside the mini-world for two years!!!, coming July 30), and my own favorite eco-journalist, Simran Sethi, who rocks steadily and sustainably (Coming August 13 in all likelihood).
Finally, Senator Schneiderman is hosting a reusable bag giveaway in his district this Saturday June 14. If you want to participate and meet a mindful (and-might I say as a LesBro-quite handsome) politician, email Cassie Mey for the details (contact here).
That’s Thursday’s Eco-Roundup…stay tuned for more conditioned idiocy from the wheel of samsara!
