There was a lot of excitement this past week in the Integral Activism/Back to the Sack community!
We had a great time at the OneCity walk this past Saturday. Even though I walk around Manhattan and Brooklyn all the time, there was something special about walking with people from the IDP through the city and across the Brooklyn Bridge down to Flatbush Farms. I felt great energy and spirit from everyone even though we were wet, tired and hungry. Let’s hope that it becomes a regular fundraising event!
There was big plastic bag news this week as Major Bloomberg announced that he is advocating for a 6-cent fee for plastic bags in NYC.  There are not a lot of details yet, but we are excited and looking forward to hearing more.
