October 24, 2009 is the International Day of Climate Action. It is a global call to action to put our world on course to get back to 350 ppm. 350.org states that “350 parts per million is what many scientists, climate experts, and progressive national governments are now saying is the safe upper limit for CO2 in our atmosphere.” Our current CO2 levels are at 384.78 ppm.

October 24 comes six weeks before the UN Climate Change Conference in Copenhagen and it is the perfect time to build momentum towards addressing global warming. There are events talking place all over the world. Find (or add your own) climate action event near you using the map below.
