One of the cooler ladies on Earth, Aung San Suu Kyi, has been arrested for the umpteenth time, and is allegedly quite ill. Avaaz.org is petitioning the United Nations for Aung San Suu Kyi’s release, and has almost 400,000 signatures so far. Here’s a decent write-up of the situation in Burma via the A.P.

According to Politico, A  Republican Congressman from Georgia, Paul Broun , wants to pass a Bible Bill To declare 2010 the “Year of the Bible.” Nothing against the good book, but legislatively 2010 should not be the year of this book: Instead, lawmakers should make 2010 (and every other year) the year of this book(let):
