These smoothies are simply sensational. What can I say? It’s the truth! And even though I am ‘the’ Dysfunctional Chef, I can whip up a smoothie like nobody’s business!
Please be sure that your ingredients are fresh. It would be sinful, according to Our Lady of Weight Loss, to use canned or frozen goods!
TIP: If the smoothies are too thick for you, either add a splash of milk, another ice cube or two.
Tropical Summer Blend
1 mango, pitted, peeled and chunked
1/2 cup pineapple chunks
2 kiwis, peeled and chunked
2 tablespoons low-fat yogurt (Greek preferred, so thick, creamy and lovely)
1/2 – 3/4 cup freshly squeezed orange juice (depending on how thick you like it???)
An ice-cube or two!!!
Cheery Cherry Blend
1/2 cup strawberries, hulled
1/2 cup blueberries
1/2 cup cherries, pitted
4 tablespoons low-fat yogurt
1/3 cup icy cold milk, , 2%, 1%, skim or whole ??? You decide!
An ice-cube or two!!!
Breakfast Blend
1/2 cup strawberries
1 banana, peeled (as if you wouldn’t!)
1/4 cup icy cold milk, 2%, 1%, skim or whole ??? You decide!
