Today’s PLAY and LOSE Weight Loss JigSaw Puzzle, “Grow Your Own,” was inspired by coffee!!! The drink, the berries, the beans, and the flowering plant.

Did you know that coffee berries contain the seeds and that they are produced by several species of small evergreen bushes of the genus Coffea?

Once ripe, the coffee berries are picked, processed, and dried. The seeds are then roasted to varying degrees, depending on the desired flavor. They are then ground and brewed to create coffee.

If you are interested in ‘growing your own,‘ then you can order a small plant from a variety of places, including Gurney’s. This unique plant, while easy to grow in the right ‘zones,’ does take 3-4 years to bear fruit, which ripens to red in the fall.

In the meantime, while your coffee plant is growing and readying itself to bear fruit, do remember that Clicking BURNS Calories!!! AND remember that PLAY and FUN are an integral part of your weight loss plan.
