This morning,  while thumbing through a copy of Our Lady of Weight Loss:  Miraculous and Motivational Musings from the Patron Saint of Permanent Fat Removal, I came across a Prickly Prayer that hit the trigger spot, so to speak.   It was a good reminder and reading it gave me the anti-trigger boost that I needed!

I’d like to share it with you.  Here goes!!!

Prickly Prayer

Dear Our Lady of the Hair Trigger,

May that tired old tape that plays in my head–
the one that triggers me into a mindless pursuit
of chips, chocolate and other sinner’s delights,
be permanently erased!

And replaced by a soft, gentle breeze
that whispers
“luscious fruit.”
