Disappointment: The feeling of sadness or displeasure caused by the non-fulfillment of one’s hopes or expectations.

While speaking to clients this week, the word ‘disappointment’ reared its head on several occasions.

“I am disappointed that I only lost 3/4 of pound this week.”
“I am disappointed in myself; I gave into the Cannoli.”

We talked our way through the disappointment, straight to elation and then to a more balanced and measured place – The Middle Path.

The Middle Path or The Middle Way is the path of moderation; the path between extremes.

For those who are feeling disappointed, here are 4 “Disappointing” Quotes that may help you find your way to The Middle Path.  I am particularly enamored with the last quote.  I think it powerfully speaks to weight loss, hitting the nail on the disappointing head!

“The size of your success is measured by the strength of your desire; the size of your dream; and how you handle disappointment along the way.” – Robert Kiyosaki quotes

“Disappointments are to the soul what the thunder-storm is to the air.” – Friedrich von Schiller

“If I had my way, if I was lucky enough, if I could be on the brink my entire life – that great sense of expectation and excitement without the disappointment – that would be the perfect state.”  – Cate Blanchett

“We must all suffer one of two things: the pain of discipline or the pain of regret or disappointment.” – Jim Rohn

How disappointed are you? Please feel free to leave your disappointments in the comment box below as you move toward The Middle Path.

Spread the word … NOT the icing,
