Hans Lagerweij is the President of Quark Expeditions, the leader in polar travel. As you may know my daughter and I traveled with Quark last fall to Snow Hill Island, Antarctica (below is a photo I took of some fellow travelers in a Zodiac boat near Devil Island).
The trip was unlike anything I’ve ever experienced; a majestic, inspiring sojourn that made me long for another polar “plunge”.
