Karaoke is when regular people, like you and me, sing our hearts out, by reading the lyrics over background music to favorite songs. Picture your Aunt Edith rocking out to the head-banging Bohemian Rhapsody, and you get the picture.

There are cover bands who perform musical hits of their favorite musicians and comedians who do impressions of famous people saying famously stupid things. We laugh with and enjoy these copycats because we know that imitation is the sincerest form of flattery.

Prayer is no exception. There are countless versions of scripture re-written to help connect the ancient words from the Bible to the newest lingo of today. The 23rd Psalm is one of those often-renewed prayers. John W. Adams wrote the “Love Prosperity Prayer,” and he says,

“This prayer based on the 23rd Psalm, when repeated daily, will help you to focus your consciousness on the Source of all supply and aid you in manifesting prosperity and abundance in all areas of your life.”

Here is the rock star of all prayers serene, as “covered” by Reverend John W. Adams of the Golden Key Ministry:

Love Prosperity Prayer

LOVE is my Financial Advisor.
My Prosperity is Unlimited.
Love fills my Life with Abundant Good.
Love is my Golden Key to Infinite Riches.
Love guides me in Its Way of Joy, Peace
and Prosperity because of Its Nature.
Even though I may wander into seeming lack,
I shall not fear, for Love is always with Me.
Its nurturing Substance Prospers Me.
Love provides Abundantly for me to
Easily pay all financial obligations.
Love fills my Life and my Bank Accounts
With Unconditional Money;
My Wealth Overflows.
Thankfully, Love Prospers Me
In every Wonderful way, every day of my Life,
And, I forever do business in the Nature of Love.

Amen.
