I wake.
I am blessed to meet the new day.
I stretch and snuggle,
I am blessed with arms,
legs and body at my command.
I open my eyes,
I am blessed with vision.

I listen to the sounds
and silence around me,
I am blessed with hearing.

I get out of bed,
I am blessed with the ability
to stand tall and walk.
I enter the bathroom,
I am blessed to rid my body of waste.

I dress,
I am blessed to be protected
from the elements.

myself with the world,
