The night is far spent, the day is at hand: let us therefore cast off the works of darkness, and let us put on the armour of light.
Romans 13:12
This wise bit of scriptural advice is exactly what we need to face a new day. Starting anew is a theme throughout the bible. In Romans 13:12 we’re told to “cast off the works of darkness,” and we’re commanded to “put on the armour of light.” Don’t wallow in what was or what is self-defeating. Rejoice in goodness and light. Embrace the possibilities that every morning brings.
