Best Religious Music
It’s rare to be moved by a song that most of us can not personally relate to. “Held” is an exception. While other Christian artists croon about love and faith, Natalie Grant takes a chance on a ballad about the death of a new baby. It’s a beautifully written song with a soothingly soulful melody. The lyrics hit point after point on the theme of loss, “…when the sacred is torn from your life” But it’s also the lyricswords that bring promise, “…and you survive.” The best religious music brings one closer to God: Loss and songs about loss can do that, and “Held” by Natalie Grant does.
