Defying all mother-in-law jokes, scripture from the Book of Ruth; 1:9, is about a grieving woman who tells her widowed daughter-in-laws to re-marry.  Naomi understood that even through the deepest grief, God wants us to think of the comfort of others first. It’s no different today, be generous in your blessings to the widowed.
