Looking for answers to life’s riddles? Who should I marry? Where should I move? What should I study? Why do I exist? How should I live my life? Some people turn to psychics. They are often advertised on this very blog page, waiting for someone to take their bait. But there is a better Source of wisdom. God invites us all:  “Call to me, and I will answer you and tell you great and unsearchable things you do not know.” (Jeremiah 33:3)

Why would we look anywhere else when we have the Creator and Caretaker of the Universe inviting us into relationship and offering to talk with us, guide us, counsel us, and walk with us? He doesn’t charge our credit card for His counsel. He simply asks for our hearts to engage with Him, interact with Him, and follow His simple command to love Him back and to love others with the same love we have for ourselves. This God who founded the stars, “delights in every detail of our lives.” (Psalm 37:23) Too good to be true? No, because He is too good to not be true to His word and Himself.

Let’s take Him up on His offer:

Father God, we acknowledge Your great wisdom and accept the offer of Your hand, to walk with us and guide us along the pathway You have established for us in this life. We take the first step of faith today and say thanks. Let’s journey together, You and me. You lead, I will follow. You be my Lord, and I will be me, redeemed by You and free. Amen.
