“I carried you on eagle’s wings and brought you to myself.” Exodus 19:4 is one of my favorite verses. It’s included in a stack of note cards with Scriptures that I hold on to. But this one hit me a little differently today when I thought of the young kid who hid in the wheel well of a jet in San Jose headed for Hawaii a few days ago. Let’s pray for that young man…

Father,

You know this boy well, and you love him. We thank you for protecting him on this wild journey… Lord please watch over his future. Call him by name and may the rest of his life be secure, held by you, led by you, and blessed by you. Kids and adults do foolish things sometimes. Thank you for sending your angels to protect us even then.
