“If I go up to the mountains, you are there.
If I make my bed in the depths, you are there.

I remember helping our children learn to walk, we would bend over, spotting them with our arms, following them around to catch them when they would fall. That is a picture of God. He stands behind me and all around me, everywhere I go. How we need His protection and guidance.

Father,

I thank you that you never leave me. Please continue to walk with me. I need your protection and grace to cover me through this day. And when I leave you (for you never leave me), please draw me back quickly, back into your loving presence where I find peace and joy continually.
