“You are blessed because you believed…” (Luke 1:45)
If Mary would have doubted the angel’s prophetic words, one wonders how her unbelief would have affected God’s plan. She didn’t have long to think about it. She couldn’t ask for a week to consider. God really put her on the spot, but her heart was ready to receive anything and everything that God wanted to give her. She was His servant. Let’s pray to have that same kind of faith. It’s more than a Can-Do attitude; it’s a God-Can-Do attitude we are after.
My Father,
I live in a skeptical world where, “I doubt it” is the mantra of the age. But I see in Scripture that it is faith that pleases you. I want that kind of faith. The kind of faith that echoes, “Nothing is impossible with God.” Increase my faith. Help me in my unbelief. Grow my knowledge of You so that I understand more and more just how limitless is your power. Thank you, Almighty God. Amen.
Now consider an impossible situation you are facing today and begin to speak, “With God this situation is possible. His power is limitless and His love for me is unending. He is working in my circumstances even now.” And now begin to praise Him!
