Words from our mouths can be refreshing, uplifting, and edifying. One word from you today can change the trajectory of someone’s day or even their life. Let’s pray that the words of our mouths will have a positive impact on every person that God sends our way. We know that the opposite is true as well; negative words can tear down, break down, and devastate the people in our lives. All the more reason we need supernatural grace and help to speak godly words.

My Father,

May my words reflect the truth and glory of Your Words, bringing life to each person I encounter today. May I add to their joy, enhance their hope, and sustain the health of their hearts as I speak. I receive this from You, for I cannot be good, do good, or speak good on my own, but it is You living in me that does the work.

May I heal and not hurt others. May I help and not harm their souls.

May the words of my mouth and the meditation of my heart be pleasing in Your sight, Oh, Lord, my Rock and my Redeemer.
