Today is someone’s birthday. It also happens to be the birthday of one of our children. This is a prayer for her and for anyone who would like to partake of this blessing.

Dear Father of this precious child,

On this birthday celebration day, I ask that you fill my beloved with the blessing of Your presence. May your great love, massive grace, and unfathomable joy flood her soul. May she feel the warmth of your smile upon her, the smile you beamed the day she came into the world. And you and I are still smiling.

Wipe away all her fears with your perfect love. Restore every promise that has eluded her; comfort every sorrow, and heal every pain that the enemy has tried to inflict. 

Make joy and gratitude the hallmark of her life and spirit. May she continually hone the skill of forgiveness until she becomes an expert at that virtue, making it a crowning glory of her soul.

Teach her wisdom and understanding. Give her counsel and might. Grant her knowledge and the reverence of You, Lord. 

Make her life unhurried, contemplative yet full of adventure, with just enough challenge to stay aware of her need of you continually, moment by moment. 

I pray this in the Name of Jesus, who always prayed according to your will, who always was heard by you, and who always received what He asked in Your Name.
