“So let us come boldly to the throne of our gracious God. There we will receive his mercy, and we will find grace to help us when we need it most.” ~Hebrews 4:16

We have an invitation to come into the presence of God through prayer and receive whatever it is we need from Him. From Scripture we know that this boldness is available because of the sacrifice Jesus made on our behalf by washing away our past and clearing up our accounts with God. So we come because of Him. We also know that if we are willingly walking in disobedience to the Lord’s call on our lives to walk in love in every area of our lives, we will have to square things up before we can make this bold entrance. But once we do through simple repentance, by His grace, then we are welcome to present our requests before Him and He will hear us. What mercies are you in need of today? Heed his invitation, walk right in, and ask with thanksgiving in your hearts for all He has done, is doing, and will do for you!

My Father, thank you for this promise in Hebrews 4:16 regarding prayer. I am acting on this Scripture now by coming to you daily with my bold requests, believing that once I ask in Jesus’ Name, the matter is said and done. I leave it in your hands. I lift up my needs to you now in faith… And I pray in the Name above every other Name:  Jesus. Amen
