Let love be your highest goal!   1 Corinthians 14:1

There is only one thing worth being concerned about. Mary has discovered it. Luke 10:42

Prioritization is a big deal. We spend big bucks on books that help us align our values and purposes and goals. In six words Paul summarizes it all; Mary, Martha’s sister, models it for us. It’s about simply loving Jesus more than anything else. Let’s pray for a realignment of our goals and priorities along the plumbline of God’s priorities spelled out in Scripture.

Father,

I admit I haven’t navigated a right way to live in this world with Heaven’s values as my top-tier priority. Forgive me, Lord. Please grant me the ability to seek you first, knowing that all my other priorities will line up perfectly behind that One. Teach me today to make love my highest goal – loving you, loving and forgiving others, and loving and forgiving myself.
