Let my teaching fall like rain and my words descend like dew, like showers on new grass, like abundant rain on tender plants. (Deut. 32:2)

As the rain and the snow
come down from heaven,
and do not return to it
without watering the earth
and making it bud and flourish,
so that it yields seed for the sower and bread for the eater,
so is my word that goes out from my mouth:
It will not return to me empty,
but will accomplish what I desire
and achieve the purpose for which I sent it. (Isaiah 55:10,11)

It’s raining in central Minnesota this morning, watering our garden, cleaning the bird poop off our deck, softening the ground, filling the creek, and giving me pleasure in watching it all from our window.

God’s Word is like a soft shower on our dry souls. Drink it in today! Your garden is longing to grow.

Father,

Thank you for the rain. Please pour out Your Word on my thirsty heart. I need to hear from You. I need Your Word to sustain me through the challenges I am facing. Thank you that I don’t have to face them alone. Your Word grants me wisdom to navigate each challenge with grace. I receive it now as I open Your Word and drink it in.

I Love You. Amen.
