“O Lord, listen to my cry;
give me the discerning mind you promised.” (Psalm 119:169)
Today we echo the prayer that David prayed for a decisive mind. God’s Word is able to renew, restore, and transform our minds, healing the damage that our sin and trauma have caused. With His Word in our minds and hearts, we can become discerning, decisive believers who hear His Word, are led by His peace, and can firmly stand behind the decisions we make – both large and small, knowing He led the way.
Father,
You have brought me so far.
I used to be so very indecisive, fearful that I would follow the wrong path,
but Your grace has taught me to trust Your still, small voice with me.
Your peace is the deciding factor in decisions both big and small.
I am crying out to you for wisdom in each decision I make!
Your Word has promised it to me, I and am cashing in on that promise as Solomon did.
Thank You!
Thank you for giving me the wisdom I need to solve the problems I am facing!
Thank you for giving me the wisdom I need to navigate the challenges at work!
Thank you for giving me the wisdom I need to care for my body and soul!
Thank you for giving me the wisdom I need to allocate my time according to your will!
Thank you for giving me the wisdom I need to balance my life with joyful activities!
Thank you for giving me the wisdom I need to care for my family and friends!
Thank you for giving me the wisdom I need to budget my finances!
Thank you for giving me the wisdom I need to succeed in life in every capacity for Your glory alone!
Amen
