“If you offer food to the hungry and satisfy the needs of the afflicted, then your light shall rise in the darkness.” Isaiah 58:10

Make Christmas the happiest it’s ever been by attending to these words and this promise in Isaiah. Do something kind for the hungry. Reach out to someone in need. Help carry the load of the downcast, and lend a hand to the helpless. Watch the light of Christmas –Jesus Himself – fill your celebration with the deepest joy and peace you’ve ever known.

Father,

Open my eyes to the opportunities all around me to give, expecting nothing in return but your promise to flood my soul with Your effervescent light. As you increase my awareness, pour out your compassion through me; give me specific direction, and simple, heart-felt words to speak. Thank You for your humble beginnings as you made your entrance into this world. Grant me a heart of humility, drawing attention to no one but You.
