As Jesus left the house, he was followed by two blind men crying out, “Mercy, Son of David! Mercy on us!” When Jesus got home, the blind men went in with him. Jesus said to them, “Do you really believe I can do this?” They said, “Why, yes, Master!” He touched their eyes and said, “Become what you believe.” It happened. They saw.
(Matthew 9:27-31 The Message)
These men disposed of their disabilities because they adjusted their vision of themselves as they considered the great ability and unearthly power of Jesus. They recognized Him as the Son of David – the Messiah.
If we can see ourselves without our disabilities, our faith, too, can manifest the healing power of the Anointed One. On the other hand, if we see ourselves as permanently disabled with no hope of change, then that is the state in which we might remain for the rest of our lives.
Pray with us today!
Father,
Show me who I can become when I exercise my faith in your redemptive power at work in my soul and body. Jesus, grant me eyes to see myself through the lens of Your Word. Help me to confess the truth from your Word:
I can do all things through Christ who Strengthens me!
Nothing is impossible to those who believe, therefore nothing will be impossible for me!
God who began a good work in me will be faithful to finish it!
I have the joy of the Lord which is my source of strength for life!
I have the love of God poured into my heart today!
You sent your Word and healed me!
By Your stripes I was and am healed!
I will not fear for you are my God!
I receive peace that only you can give!
I take heart and overcome the challenges of this world with your peace and courage!
You are my ever-present help in times of trouble, so I will not fear!
I have not been given a spirit of fear, but I have a spirit of power, love, and a sound mind!
The Lord is my strength and my defender!
I call on the Lord, and He answers me today!
Amen!
