The wise are glad to be instructed,
but babbling fools fall flat on their faces. (Proverbs 10:8)

If you need wisdom, ask our generous God, and he will give it to you. He will not rebuke you for asking. James 1:5

God has invited us to ask Him for wisdom with the promise that He will readily answer if we ask without wavering in our faith. So, let’s ask! What better day than on April Fool’s Day!

Father,

You know my foolish ways and tendencies. You know the fallout my foolish words have caused for those around me. Forgive me and cleanse me. Root out all foolishness in my soul. Day by day, I want to ask you to make me a person marked by your wisdom. Remove my foolish thoughts. I choose to take them captive and make them obedient to you. I choose words of wisdom instead of foolish words. I will embrace the instruction that you bring me through your word and through your wise followers. Correct me and change me today.
